Our Journey Since 2015

Al Moiz Online Quran Academy was founded in 2015 by a group of Islamic scholars and education technology specialists who recognized a critical gap in Quranic education accessibility. While traditional madrasas and Islamic centers provided excellent instruction, they were often inaccessible to Muslims living in areas without qualified teachers, those with demanding schedules, or those in non-Muslim majority countries.

The name "Al Moiz" was chosen deliberately - it is one of the 99 beautiful names of Allah (SWT) meaning "The Honorer," reflecting our foundational belief that proper Quranic education honors both the divine text and the student undertaking the noble journey of learning. Our founders envisioned an institution that would honor the Quran through authentic teaching and honor students by making this sacred knowledge accessible to all.

In our early years, we began with just five certified teachers and thirty students across three countries. The challenges were significant - developing an online pedagogy for Quranic education that maintained the spiritual and methodological authenticity of traditional learning while leveraging technology for accessibility.

Today, Al Moiz Academy serves over 5,000 active students across 35+ countries with a faculty of 50+ certified male and female teachers specializing in various Quranic sciences. Our journey continues as we constantly refine our methodologies, expand our course offerings, and deepen our commitment to making authentic Quranic education universally accessible while maintaining the highest standards of Islamic scholarship and pedagogical excellence.

2015

Al Moiz Online Quran Academy founded with 5 teachers and 30 students. Established our core teaching methodology combining traditional Islamic pedagogy with online technology.

2017

Reached 1,000 students across 15 countries. Developed structured curriculum for different learning levels and introduced our first certificate programs.

2019

Launched our specialized Hifz (Memorization) program with Ijazah certification. Expanded faculty to 25 certified teachers and introduced family discount plans.

2020

During COVID-19, served over 3,000 new students seeking online Quran education. Enhanced our technological infrastructure and introduced recorded session feature.

2023

Our Teaching Methodology

Master-Apprentice Model (Shakird-Ustaad)

We maintain the traditional one-on-one relationship between teacher and student, which has been the hallmark of Islamic education for centuries. This allows for direct correction, personalized guidance, and spiritual mentoring that goes beyond mere technical instruction.

Gradual Progression (Tadrij)

Our curriculum follows the Islamic pedagogical principle of gradual progression - starting from simple foundations and systematically advancing to more complex concepts. Students only proceed to the next level when they have demonstrated mastery of current material.

Integrated Learning Approach

We integrate recitation (Tilawah), memorization (Hifz), understanding (Tafheem), and application (Tatbeeq) in a balanced manner appropriate to each student's level. This holistic approach ensures comprehensive Quranic education.

Technology-Enhanced Learning

We utilize screen sharing, digital whiteboards, Quran software with Tajweed coloring, session recording for review, and interactive assessment tools to enhance the learning experience while maintaining the human connection between teacher and student.
